Four members of the Middle Rasen Rangers have gained their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Awards.
The girls did varied activities for their individual sections - from learning to become a dance teacher, how to look after horses, training at the gym, volunteering with youth groups, helping lead a trip to India, joining in the National Guide and Scout Orchestra - as well as all completing a three night/four day expedition in the Peak District.
Sam Reilly from Glentham, Fiona Smith from Caistor and Alice Weeks and Charlotte Wilson, both from Middle Rasen, were encouraged by their Duke of Edinburgh leaders Jeannette Reilly and Anna Hessey, trained and supervised on their expedition by Sue Cole and, of course, supported by their parents.
All the girls received their awards locally from Janice Gibson, Girlguiding Lincolnshire North County Commissioner.
Fiona and Charlotte have also been to St James’s Palace for the award to be formally presented, while Sam and Alice will be attending this year for their award.
