Brigg Live Arts has become part of the LiveLincs, Rural Touring programme and will be venturing into the world of theatre in November.
The Secret World of Charles Dickens: Mirth, Marvels and the Mysterious, is on Friday November 6 at 7pm at Brigg and District Serviceman’s Club.
Charles Dickens was not only one of the world’s greatest writers, but he was also a talented magician and fascinated by spiritualism and ghosts.
In this humorous and mystifying show, Ian Keable reveals Dickens’s journey to becoming a magician and recreates his favourite tricks and the spooky practises of the Victorian psychics.
The show ends, as Dickens ended his show, with the production of a fruit cake!
Tickets cost £6 each, under 14s £3, and are available from the Brigg Tourist Information Centre, 01652 657053, or call 01652 658995
