Brigg Senior Citizens have restarted their popular luncheon club.

The group used to meet at The Stables in Bigby Street, but lost that venue and have struggled in the past year to find an alternative.

An arrangement has been made to meet on Wednesdays at The White Horse in Wrawby Street.

Meetings will continue weekly at the cost of £6.50 for a main course and dessert.

All diners have to be members of the club, which costs £1, and cards are available from Brigg Tourist Information Centre at The Buttercross.

Senior Citizens are also reminded that if they have difficulty getting around the town on Thursday market days, the club runs the Brigg Mobility Scheme which has power scooters available between 10am and 4pm.

The scooters are also available to younger people who have mobility problems.

People do not need to be registered disabled and the service is free of charge.

Membership of the scheme is needed though and test driving required.

Call at the Tourist Information Centre or ring for details on 01652 657053.

In addition to scooters, the Brigg Senior Citizens has two manual wheelchairs for hire from the same venue, available for short term day use or for up to a month.

Contact is again through the Tourist Information Centre.
