Organisers of Louth’s annual Run for Life event were ‘amazed’ to see the community out in full force yet again to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.

Over 1,000 runners took part across three events, with men, women and children all taking part.

Louth Run for Life committee chairman, Simon West said: “We all had a brilliant day and we’ve received some great comments from people who ran on the day.

“The weather was kind to us yet again and it’s an amazing community event that seems to get better every year.

“A big thank you goes out to all of the volunteers, without them the event would not be possible, to all of our sp0onsors for their support and of course to all the runners and spectators that came out to support us on the day.”
