Improved Family Services Directory for support and advice

A newly revised Family Services Directory has been launched by Lincolnshire County Council to help parents give their children the best start in life.

The Family Services Directory provides families with comprehensive information and support, activities and services to help them get the most for their children from an early age.

Topics include: parenting and caring, special educational needs and disability, education, childcare, careers training and learning, money and benefits, things to do and places to go, and health

The directory also includes information and advice for children with special educational needs and disability (SEND).

With plans to improve this area by September following new government legislation, parents and carers can make their valuable views known and help shape services for the future – making support faster, more co-ordinated and in the right place at the right time.

Coun Patricia Bradwell, Executive Councillor for Children’s Services, said: “We’ve revamped the directory to make it as easy to use and accessible as we can, based on what those who have used the service have been telling us.

“Whether you’re looking for childcare, wanting help in paying for childcare, looking for activities to do with your children or for children and family services this is the place to go.

“The directory website has information for all families in Lincolnshire about available services in the county, as well as national organisations and leisure activities.

“If there are services you know of that are not on the directory or we are missing information about a particular subject then make sure you tell us.”

The family services directory can be found at and anyone who wants to give feedback about the site and suggests improvements can send their comments to
