Plans to demolish the former Cherry Valley Farms head office in Rothwell, near Market Rasen, have been submitted to West Lindsey District Council.

Joseph Nickerson Farms wants to clear the existing Villa Offices site in Cuxwold Road, which contains the main office, associated grain bins, annexe, grain store and three bay Dutch barns. The former Cherry Valley Farms office was vacated in 2012.

“Savills have marketed the site for over two years with no serious interest and they advise little prospect for such property,” agent Bill Emms said in the application.

Mr Emms said it was planned a professional contractor would undertake the demolition work in October, with the spoil/rubble used for farm track surfacing.

The redevelopment or rebuilding was proposed for “future housing subject to planning.” The site has already been submitted to West Lindsey District Council for consideration as part of the Central Lincolnshire Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA), he said.
