WOULD you like to help preserve Lincolnshire’s past?

Heritage Lincolnshire is on the look-out for volunteers to get involved with Lincolnshire Heritage at Risk, a national pilot project, offering local people the opportunity to learn more about their local heritage.

Volunteers will record the current condition of historic buildings, sites and open spaces in their local communities.

This survey information will then be used to help develop a strategy to manage and safeguard it for the future.

A free training event will be held in Caistor Arts and Heritage Centre on Saturday, July 9, between 10am and 3.30pm for anyone interested in getting involved with the project.

Dr Matthew Godfrey, Senior Heritage at Risk Project Officer, said: “We aim to offer an enjoyable day discovering the rich heritage of the area, there is no obligation to sign up as a volunteer but we welcome all who wish to do so.”
