Brigg Mayor and North Lincolnshire Councillor Carl Sherwood is urging local people dust off their bikes and get cycling again.
The cabinet member for Customer Services, Sport and Leisure at North Lincolnshire said: “We want to encourage people to have a more active lifestyle and the Sky Ride local programme is a great incentive for people in North Lincolnshire to get out and about on their bike this summer.
The programme, in partnership with British Cycling, will be hosting lots of free bike riding opportunities for local residents, whether a beginner or a professional cyclist, running through to the end of September.
“Guided by friendly British Cycling Ride Leaders along scenic planned routes, they’re a great way to get out with family or friends,” added Coun Sherwood.
“With different levels, there’s something for everyone - whether you’re building your confidence or already comfortable on a bike and looking for a challenge.”
There are also Breeze bike rides for women, and rides organised through Social Cycling Groups, the social network for cyclists.
To register for a free, guided bike ride in North Lincolnshire, visit the Go Sky Ride website and use the Ride Finder.
