A successful Lottery bid is bringing free fitness taster sessions to Caistor.
Funtastic Fitness is headed up by Andy Shutes head of the PE department at Caistor Grammar School and will run until May next year, thanks to a grant from Awards for All.
“Our aim is to engage members of the community in fun active fitness for free,” said Mr Shutes.
“And we hope that they enjoy the experience of the taster sessions and will then continue to participate in the future.”
The sessions start on Monday, October 28, with Boxercise.
Future sessions include a mixture of dance fitness and pilates, judo fitness, general physical preparation (GPP) and Piloxing, a fusion of pilates and boxercise.
All sessions will take place in the school sports hall from 4.15pm to 5.30pm and will be run by a team of qualified fitness instructors - Ryan Parkinson, Hayley Thompson, Tim Hotchin, Ian Johns and Kerry Spence.
Classes are restricted to 24 on a first come first served basis and no block bookings are allowed.
