ICY pavements and rutted roads have been hailed a disgrace by staff at Market Rasen surgery.
More than two weeks after heavy snow fell, they are calling for the council to give priority to essential services such as there’s for treatment. While most main roads into the town are now clear, thick ice is still causing major problems on the side roads and pavements.
“I realise that services are under considerable stress,” said Dr Therese Nation. “However, the roads are treacherous and its lucky that there hasn’t been any serious incidents.
“The council talks about health and safety of their staff, but what about the people expected to work such as our staff.
“I think more could have been done; the situation is disgraceful.”
