Brigg Business Partnership are publishing new town leaflets in a move to develop the retail and tourist trade.
The leaflets will have a map of the town centre on one side, with members’ businesses numbered on it, and on the other side a list of town businesses with information about what they provide.
It is planned to have the leaflets initially attached to pay and display machines in the town centre car parks and also in shops.
The intention is for this year businesses that are members of the partnership will be automatically included in this leaflet, free of charge.
“Businesses that are not members are being urged to join the partnership to take advantage of this offer and also our attendance at the Lincolnshire Show,” said Jayne Kitchen, on behalf of the group.
“Alternatively we can arrange for your business to be included in this leaflet for a discounted price of £10 for every business entry, just contact us,”
It is the first time Brigg Town Business Partnership will have a presence at the Lincolnshire Show next month to promote independent businesses in Brigg.
The partnership also intends to work with the regeneration team at North Lincolnshire to promote empty properties to prospective new independent businesses.
Members of the Partnership have been saddened by the death of former chairman Byron Teague, who ran a fruit and veg shop in Wrawby Street.
Members have been unanimous in their praise of his contribution to the partnership’s development.
The group’s next full meeting is next Wednesday, June 3 at link2energy in Bigby Street, starting at 5.30pm.
