Lincolnshire Co-operative will be sharing a Christmas gift of £33,956 between more than 80 good causes in the county thanks to its dividend scheme.

The groups have had a three-month stint as Community Champions and will be taken over by new groups.

In our area Bishop Norton Village Hall, West Rasen Village Hall and Heritage Centre and the Friends of Caistor Primary School have also received grants of £529.28.

Welton Patients and Doctors Association has also been given £873.68.

Between September and December, every time a shopper has used their dividend card a donation from the Community Champions pot has gone towards their local good cause.

The Champions can now put the money towards their projects.

Member Engagement Manager Richard Whittaker said: “We’re delighted that our members are continuing to help us raise thousands of pounds for local good causes.”
