Go walkies and help Guide Dog charity

Take your four-legged friend for a walk this summer and help support the Guide Dogs charity.

Faldingworth resident Mary Todd is organising a sponsored walk on Sunday, June 9,as part of the charity’s national initiative ‘Go Walkies.’

“Dogs are such amazing creatures and they can do such incredible things,” said Mary.

“Guide Dogs, formerly Guide Dogs for the Blind, is such a well-established charity and does a fantastic job.

“If this walk goes well, it could perhaps become an annual event and in future could support other dog-based charities, such as the more newly established Hounds for Heroes.”

The walk on June 9 will take place on private land at Faldingworth, away from main roads and is open to anyone.

“And if you don’t have a real dog, why not take along your favourite toy dog or even dress up as a dog yourself,” added Mary.

Every dog taking part will receive a Go Walkies dog tag and goody bag, and one lucky dog will win six months supply of food from sponsors Eukanuba.
