Gem of vehicles up for auction

MARKET Rasen auctioneers have unearthed a treasure trove of vintage and classic vehicles concealed in the grounds of an old Rectory.

The haul of about 40 vehicles, property of the late John Linegar, has lain untouched for decades and will now go on sale.

Highlights include a 1921 Marlborough, of which there are believed to be only two in existence in the UK, as well as several vintage Rolls Royce, a 1919 Calthorpe, Coupe, 1935 Alvis Silver Eagle, Coupe and 1941 BMW 321 Saloon.

‘The Linegar Collection’ will be auctioned on September 29 by Perkins George Mawer & Co.
