Brigg Town Council’s Civic Awards Presentations took place at the Mayor’s Appeal Coffee Morning .

Town Mayor, James Truepenny thanked Brigg Garden Centre for their joint sponsorship with the Town Council of the Best Kept Garden and Prize Allotment Award, Alix Brown of Brigg Garden Centre for the final judging and Vic Bowness of Barnetby Horticultural society for judging the Prize Allotment Award.

“I am particularly grateful to resident Stan Mosey for providing this year’s new award for the Most Improved Allotment,” added Coun Truepenny

The Prize Allotment Award went to Mrs R Lamplugh for Plot 9, Grammar School Road, who received the Mary Robins Memorial Rose Bowl, a certificate and a £50 Brigg Garden Centre voucher.

Most Improved Allotment went to Mr G Backhouse for plot 12a Grammar School Road, who received the Stan Mosey Trophy and a £20 garden centre voucher.

The Best Kept Garden Award was Mr T Brown of 39 Grammar School Road, who received the Louis T Jarratt Memorial Rose Bowl, a certificate and a voucher for £50 to be spent at Brigg Garden Centre..
