Barnabas Bear was the special guest at the fundraising coffee morning at Tealby Primary School.
By selling cakes and running a raffle, £126 was raised to support the work of St Barnabas Hospice.
And the charity’s community fundraiser Caroline Swindin also went along with her gift stall, which raised a further £87.
The event was part of the St Barnabas Hospice Its a Piece of Cake campaign, which runs throughout October.
And more funds will be raised for the hospice in the village at the annual craft fair organised with the WI.
The date for this year’s event, in Tealby Memorial Hall, is on Saturday November 22.
