Canadian songstress and award-winning songwriter Amanda Rheaume takes to the stage at Kirton Town Hall Live this week.
With a powerful, slightly gritty, deeply personal and instantly accessible folk-roots sound, she takes to the stage in Kirton Lindsey this Saturday, October 10, as part of her 11-date UK tour.
Her increasing success stems from her ability to translate personal stories into messages, whilst evoking a sense of positivity and communicating the strength of those gone before her.
In 2014 she received the Canadian Folk Music award for Songwriter of the Year for her ‘Keep A Fire’ album, which charted the Red Indian heritage of her great grandmother and the Marine heritage of her great grandfather.
She will be joined by her band, comprising Anders Drerup on guitar and MJ Dandeneau on upright bass.
Supporting Amanda will be York musician Dan Webster and his band.
Dan’s music is influenced by the sounds and story telling traditions of American and British music.
