AS part of the Royal Horticultural Society’s annual Britain in Bloom launch, a tree-planting event will be held this Saturday, March 24, at Caistor’s Lincolnshire Montessori School.

Caistor in Bloom is one of many RHS Britain in Bloom and RHS It’s Your Neighbourhood groups that have been planting tree saplings throughout the month of March to launch their local campaign to make a significant contribution to increasing the number of trees in Britain.

Rick Merrall, secretary of Caistor in Bloom, said: “We are delighted to once again be supported by the prolific RSC actor Ian Hogg to join with us to celebrate this fantastic cause in highlighting the need for more trees to be planted around the country.”

Starting at 10am, more than a dozen trees will be planted in the corner of the field by the gate on Grimsby Road that gives walkers’ access to the Water Hills and The Viking Way.
