As part of the Royal Horticultural Society’s annual Britain in Bloom launch, Caistor in Bloom is hosting the rescheduled tree planting event at the Sports Ground’s Jubilee Orchard this Saturday, April 6.

Following the planting of a Community orchard with hedging last year, a further donation from Systematic Print Management Ltd of redcurrant bushes will be planted to provide colour and cover.

Several trees will be planted along with redcurrant bushes and the other rescheduled annual tree planting for St Peter & St Paul’s Church will also take place.

A donation from Caistor Civic Society member Don Morgan of laurel trees will help to adorn an entrance to the Sports Ground at Ayscough Grove.

Caistor in Bloom is one of many RHS Britain in Bloom and RHS It’s Your Neighbourhood groups planting tree saplings throughout March and April, with free trees from The Woodland Trust, to make a significant contribution to increasing the number of trees in Britain.

The Caistor planting starts at 10am and refreshments will be available afterwards in the Multi Use Centre.
