Emergency services attend ‘spear lodged in knee’ in Caistor

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue have this afternoon had to attend a spear lodged in someone’s knee in Caistor today (Tuesday)

The service’s twitter feed said that a crew from the town had attended Hansards Crescent, to assist East Midlands Ambulance Service with the incident.

They said the metal spear had become lodged in the patient’s knee and had to be shortened using hydraulic cutting gear.

The patient was then taken to hospital via ambulance.
