ON one of the busiest weekends in the town, Caistor Arts and Heritage Centre was full of visitors taking a trip down memory lane.
The centre was alive with reminiscences, laughter and anecdotes from as early as the 1920s and as recently as the 1990s, at the two-day exhibition of photographs and memorabilia from the Caistor Grammar School Archive.
The event attracted many ex-pupils and local residents, with people coming from as far afield as London and Newcastle.
The CGS Archive Group, who organised the event, were delighted with the response and over the weekend many former pupils promised the loan of more materials.
“We would like to thank those people who participated and made donations, which shall ensure the future of the group as it progresses to the more recent history of the grammar school,” said group member Polly Baxter.
And visitors Barry Chambers and John Dixon both agreed it was a good exhibition and thanked the group for all their hard work and effort taken to put on such a display.
