Forget Colin Firth in a wet shirt - Mr Darcy’s other attractions include the best in Regency cuisine offered to his guests at Pemberley.

Celebrate the 200th anniversary of the publication of ‘Pride and Prejudice’ with an entertaining look at the place of food in Jane Austen’s life and novels.

Taste such dishes as syllabub, rout cakes and ratafa biscuits with historic food expert Judith Hedley at the latest Saturday afternoon session organised by Nettleton WEA.

The session takes place in Nettleton village hall this Saturday, October 5, from 2.30pm to 5.30pm.

The cost is £6 per person, which includes afternoon tea.

This is just one of the many topics covered by Nettleton WEA throughout the year.

To book a place for this session and for more information on this event or the WEA’s forthcoming events call Jean Childs on 01472 859347 or go along on the day.
