FAMILIES with young children are being encouraged to take a peep at what is on offer at Market Rasen Children’s Centre.
Just one of the many activities are the PEEP sessions, held three times a week.
PEEP groups are designed for parents or carers and their children to go along and have fun together.
The focus is on making the most of opportunities in everyday life at home – playing, talking, listening, singing, sharing books and having fun
On Wednesdays, Family PEEP – aimed those from 0 to pre-school age – runs from 9.30am-10.45am and is followed by Toddling PEEP, for those starting to find their feet, from 11am-12.15pm.
Baby PEEP, for little ones aged up to one year, is held on Thursdays from 1.45pm-3pm.
“The sessions are the opportunity for parents and carers to engage with the children in a friendly social atmosphere,” said practitioner Christina Plews, one of the Children’s Links team who deliver the sessions.
The group also works with staff at the town library, who go along on a regular basis to lead storytime.
To register for the free PEEP sessions or to find out more about PEEP and the other activities on offer, go along to the Children’s Centre in Kilnwell Road or give them a call on 01673 844703
