A group of De Aston students are testing their business skills in a bid to be named Ultimate Tycoon.
The four year 10 pupils have been awarded £1,000 from a new enterprise competition - Tycoon in Schools - launched by well-known entrepreneur Peter Jones.
Team CCRH - Hadley Stones, Ciara Dodd, Ross Tyson and Chloe Greig - received the funding after impressing the Dragon’s Den star with their idea of providing an alternative to boring school portraits with their personal photo service.
Appealing to students wanting a shot with friends, and families looking for something a bit different, they are also producing a range of printable t-shirts, mugs and other personalised goods.
The group is now up against 49 other schools to make as much profit as possible to be crowned Ultimate Tycoon in Schools.
“Tycoon in Schools is a fantastic opportunity for the students,” said Daniel Willars, Business Studies Teacher and Head of Vocational Learning and Careers.
“It offers a chance to bring the real business world in to the classroom.”
