The official opening of the new look Hibaldstow Academy will take place next Wednesday, October 14, at 10am.

A new classroom and cloakroom linked to the existing school will cater for 30 additional pupils, to meet demand for more school places.

Work started in April 2015 and was finished by August 2015.

Topcon Construction Ltd built the new classroom, with North Lincolnshire Council funding the work, which cost £264,000.

“The new look school is bigger and means it can cater for 30 more pupils to help meet demand for more school places in the Hibaldstow area,” said Coun David Rose, cabinet member for Children’s Services at North Lincolnshire Council.

“It is part of a programme of work to improve our schools and academies, giving pupils a fantastic learning environment.”
