Academic achievement and sporting excellence were recognised as Caistor Grammar School held its annual awards presentation evening.
More than 200 prizes were presented during the evening and many records celebrated at the event.
A large and appreciative audience of prizewinners and their parents were also thrilled to hear from the event’s inspirational Guest of Honour, writer and Holocaust survivor Iby Knill.
At 91, Mrs Knill is one of very few people left living in the UK with this terrible memory and she spoke about her life and philosophy.
Her core message was: “Under the skin we are all the same – each one of you can make a difference.”
In his address, head master Roger Hale produced a list of 50 memorable days in the 2014/15 academic year, which captured in part the essence of the school; full of activity and shared endeavour.
“We can be very proud of what we achieved last year. And we can be very proud of our school and what is stands for. It is a cause well worth fighting for,” he said.
