Welton Pre-School has been given a ‘good’ rating by Ofsted.
The pre-school, based at the William Farr Comprehensive School site, was praised by inspectors for its effective staff.
The report stated: “Children make consistently good progress in their learning.
“Staff effectively monitor children’s progress, in order to quickly identify and implement extra support where needed.
“Staff act as good role models and are consistent in managing children’s behaviour.
“Children learn how to keep themselves safe and to value and respect others.”
And it says the pre-school committee and manager carry out regular, ongoing evaluations of practice, in order to improve outcomes for children.
The inspection was carried out on November 11.
It follows an inspection on April 24, which rated the pre-school ‘satisfactory’.
