De Aston School has been praised for its provision of student careers support and has received Career Mark accreditation.
The award was made to the Market Rasen school in recognition of the quality of the careers advice and guidance it provides to its students.
The school places careers support at the heart of its learning.
“I’m delighted that the quality of our careers support to students has been officially recognised,” said Dan Willars, head of vocational and careers education at De Aston.
“We’re committed to ensuring that our students are as well-prepared as possible for the next phase of their lives after school.
“We want them to be inspired about the world of work and motivate them to achieve their goals and aspirations.”
Linking in with careers, ten year 9 students took part in the Red STEM Day at RAF Scampton, organised to inspire young people to become the engineers of the future.
The day included a number of active sessions promoting science, technology, engineering and maths, plus an exclusive Red Arrows training display.
