Castle creations for young historians

A castles project at De Aston School has taken young historians by storm at De Aston. The Year 7 students were asked to produce a project which showed what they had understood, both in class and from their homework research, about Norman Castles: why they were built, the weapons used to attack them and the defensive features which were built to repel these weapons.

And they were incredibly imaginative in their work, producing some amazing castles, made of everything from cardboard to Lego.
