Keelby Primary School has converted to an academy as part of the Enquire learning Trust and to mark the occasion, parents and representatives from the local community joined with the 182 pupils to release a balloon each to symbolise the start of a new and exciting journey for the school.

“This is the beginning of a new chapter in the life of Keelby Primary,” said Annabel Cowling, Academy Principal.

“The governing body made a well-considered decision that Keelby Primary School should join Enquire Learning Trust and we strongly believe the school will grow and develop further as a result of this new partnership.

“We aim to become the best possible place for children of Keelby to learn and develop now and in the future.”

Also at the event was Darren Holmes,
Director of The Enquire Learning Trust, who said: “The academy will have access to the strong and innovative practice already established in 15 partner schools and also brings a great deal to the Trust from which others can learn.”

Mr Holmes added: “The Enquire Learning Trust is delighted to be working with the staff, governors and parents of Keelby Primary Academy to continue to develop the quality of learning and achievement for all the children.

Keelby Primary School is one of the top schools nationally for sustained improvement.
