Northwold Group of WIs

Tales of life with steeplejack Fred Dibnah entertained members of WIs at the recent meeting of the Northwold Group .

Fred’s third wife, Sheila, regaled her audience with an insight into the Fred Dibnah, away from the TV cameras.

An early outing with Fred saw Sheila head upwards - more than a 100 feet up a vertical ladder lashed to an industrial chimney.

Norma Smith and Jill Wade, members of Binbrook WI, are pictured with Sheila and her ‘wedding spanner’.

The group’s next meeting is in October at Binbrook, when the speaker will be Karen Crow, Lincoln’s Town Crier.
