Daily bus service to Louth for Market Rasen residents

Saturday 9am MORE bus services are changing in the Market Rasen and Louth areas after calls from local people to improve the service between the two market towns.

From Monday February 16, CallConnect will provide a new Monday to Friday shopping service between Market Rasen and Louth via Binbrook and Brookenby.

The new service will also call at Ludford, Tealby and Kirmond le Mire on a pre-booking arrangement with the Matrix booking Centre (tel.0845 234 3344).

The CallConnect services that provide bus journeys to Manby that also call at Louth Jubilee Crescent will have minor timetable alterations from the same date.

Bus service 158 which operates on Wednesdays and Fridays by Stagecoach between Louth and Market Rasen will be cancelled, although a new service 156 will be introduced on Wednesdays and Fridays operated by Stagecoach from February 18 to start from Caistor calling at Brookenby, Binbrook and Ludford to Louth, offering facilities for shopping and leisure in Louth. Lincolnshire County Council said the changes were being introduced on a trial period for six months with financial support from the council at the request of local residents and associations, and their continued operation will depend on the support from the local community.

Full details of these changes will be available from new information booklets and leaflets which will be available from local libraries and Tourist Information Centres or direct from Lincolnshire County Council by telephoning 01522 782070.
