POLICE are urging people to be vigilant after attempted thefts from farmyards.

On Tuesday, December 13, reports were received of a male using a white Mercedes Vito van bearing an ‘S’ plate visiting two farms on Owmby Lane, North Kelsey Moor.

The male tried to enter the first yard at 3pm, but was chased off by the owner’s dog.

An hour later, he was seen again at a second farmyard and attempted to take items from the yard.

When challenged by the owner he replaced the items before leaving the area.

Anyone who sees the vehicle in their area checking out properties, is asked to call police on the new incident reporting number of 101 so officers can be dispatched to the area.
