Police warning after animal drugs theft in Dunholme

Police are warning people to be on the lookout for animal medication that may be offered for sale after it was stolen from a pig breeding unit in Dunholme.

The burglary was reported today (Tuesday, March 15) and is believed to have happened at a location on Horncastle Lane sometime from around 3.15pm into this morning.

The following medication was stolen:

PENSTREP - antibiotic

STRESSNIL – tranquiliser

OXYTOCIN – hormone treatment

PLANATE – to induce labour in pigs

LINJET – for lameness in pigs

This medication is not fit to be administered to human beings and should anyone be offered such medication they should not to take it and instead contact police.
