Police in Caistor have pledged to tackle speeding drivers after shocking figures from a speed indicator device (SID).
Last month we reported how a SID in Navigation Lane caught more than 600 vehicles going faster than 40mph in just three weeks.
Speaking at Caistor Town Council’s monthly meeting in the town hall on October 8, PC Chris Bell said: “We’ve been given individual speed guns and whereas previously we’ve shared with Market Rasen, we can now spend a bit more time with it.
“Navigation Lane was highlighted last month.
“I spent 30 to 40 minutes there last Friday and there were only eight cars during that time, and none of them speeding.
“I know that’s not a real reflection.
“I know it’s concerning for people.
“We will keep at it, and on North Kelsey Road and Nettleton Road.”
