The following local cases were dealt with by magistrates sitting in Loughborough on September 18 and 23:
l Daniel Frost (27), of New Street, Melton, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour in Melton on July 22. He was fined £110, ordered to pay £50 compensation and a £20 victim surcharge.
l Simon Kidd (20), of Barkby Road, Syston, admitted assaulting a man and a woman in Leicester on July 23 and using racially aggravated threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour. Kidd received a six week prison sentence, suspended for 24 months. He was also made subject of a six week curfew.
l Lee Gregory (33), of Tamworth, admitted breaking the 30mph speed limit in Norman Way, Melton, on March 20. He was fined £115, ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £60 costs. His licence was also endorsed with three penalty points.
l Troy Shutt (28), of Barkbythorpe Lane, Syston, admitted using a hand-held mobile phone while driving in Bowhill Grove, Leicester, on March 15. He was fined £65, ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £60 costs. His licence was also endorsed with three penalty points.
l Kevin Fraser (59), of West Street, Syston, admitted driving without insurance and otherwise in accordance with a licence in Broadway, Syston, on December 29. He was banned from driving for six months, fined £115, ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £60 costs.
