A PENSIONER accused of making indecent videos of children and owning thousands of indecent photographs of young people is to stand trial at Lincoln Crown Court.

David Crayden, 68, from Welton, appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on Monday charged with 17 offences dating back to January 2007.

Mr Crayden is alleged to have carried out 14 offences in Market Rasen including making four indecent videos of children ranging from 1 minute 55 seconds to 10 minutes 36 seconds long and taking three indecent photographs of children.

These offences allegedly took place between August and October 2010.

He has been charged with having 5,464 indecent photographs of children, one extreme pornographic image of a life-threatening act and 42 images of a person involved in bestiality.

It is alleged Mr Crayden had these pictures in Market Rasen on January 12, 2011.

He is also accused of taking three indecent photographs of children in Ashford, Kent between January 2007 and April 2009.

Mr Crayden was committed to Lincoln Crown Court for trial on Friday, September 23 at 10am.

He was given bail on the condition he does not access the internet or get someone to access the internet on his behalf, he must not have access to anyone under the age of 16 and he must return to his home address every night.
