Historic church artefact stolen

A COLLECTION plate of “great historic value” has been stolen from a village church.

St Mary’s Church in East Barkwith was targeted last week and the plate is inscribed with the name of the church.

It was last used at the 10am Communion Service on Sunday, November 20 and discovered missing when it was needed for the mid-week Communion Service on Thursday, November 24 at 9am.

The vehicle’s registration number is K60 CAN.
