Cash stolen in store robbery

ROBBERS wearing balaclavas threatened staff at a convenience store before making off with hundreds of pounds in cash.

The robbery – which left staff shaken but not hurt - happened at the Spar shop in King Street, Keelby about 9pm last night – Sunday, February 19.

Two offenders entered the shop and threatened staff before stealing between £200 and £300. They left the scene in a vehicle.

It is thought three offenders in total were involved - all were wearing dark clothing and balaclavas.
