Caistor contractor accused of breaching health and safety rules

A CONTRACTOR from Caistor has been accused of contravening three health and safety at work regulations, Lincoln Magistrates’ Court heard.

Between March 1, 2001 and April 13, 2011 Andre Wilkin, of Market Place, allegedly failed to make sure work at height on scaffolding was safe.

On April 13, 2011 he allegedly failed to make sure a construction site was kept in good order and a reasonable state of cleanliness.

Mr Wilkin is also accused of failing to provide suitable sanitary conveniences and washing facilities – including hot running water in accessible places for his workers - between March 1, 2011 and May 10, 2011.

All the offences allegedly took place at Ventnor Lodge, Danesgate in Lincoln.

The case has been adjourned until July 11.
