A new mum who acted as a getaway driver during a string of high value Christmas burglaries faces selling her car to pay back money from her crimes.
Charlotte Hall, 21, of King Street, Market Rasen, used her Fiat Punto for more than 20 raids across Lincolnshire after being “recruited” by her boyfriend, James Parker, 24, also of King Street.
The young mother was spared jail earlier this month after the sentencing judge described her as a “stupid girl” who had fallen for a seasoned criminal. She admitted five charges of burglary in December last year and asked for 21 other offences to be taken into consideration. Parker pleaded guilty to the same five break-ins and asked for 23 offences to be taken into consideration.
Hall now faces selling the car she used in the break-ins after a police investigation into the proceeds of the couple’s crimes.
A court was told Hall made a benefit of £7,500 from the month long crime spree. She was given six months to sell her only available asset, the Fiat Punto valued at £1,230 - and could face a jail sentence if the £1,230 is not paid back within that period.
The court heard Parker made a benefit of £7,583 from his crimes but has no available assets to seize. He was jailed for two years and four months.
