A CAISTOR woman is facing a bill of almost £4,000 after being found guilty of benefit fraud.
Karen Farrow, 44, of Plover Square, failed to tell West Lindsey District Council about a significant change in her earnings, Lincoln Magistrates’ Court heard.
The court heard how Farrow did not act on several opportunities to inform the council after ignoring letters that had been sent to her.
Farrow pleaded not guilty but Magistrates decided she had been negligent in not keeping the council informed of her circumstances and was sentenced to a 12 month conditional discharge.
The overpayment of £3,964.36 must be repaid in full.
