There are lots of talented crafters around and stalls of locally-produced handcrafted items are always popular at the many shows, fetes and garden events over the summer months.
But in Market Rasen, crafters have a permanent outlet thanks to The Little Shop of Treasures.
While taking on a shop when you are a small business or hobby producer is not cost effective, it is possible to rent just one shelf to display your quality items on at the shop, which is housed within Rasen Hub in the town’s Union Street.
And there are currently around 20 crafters taking advantage of this community enterprise, along with the monthly craft club which meets in The Hub.
Cards, sewn items, jewellery and much more give plenty of gift ideas.
And there has never been a better time to pay the shop a visit, with 50 per cent off selected items.
The Little Shop of Treasures is open weekdays, except Thursday, from 10am to 4pm.
The next meeting of the craft club is on Wednesday, July 1, from 2pm to 4pm.
Take along your own craft to work on and help plan the programme for the rest of the year over a cup of tea and cake. Rasen Hub also runs a junior craft club.
