A Wolds church is to undergo a major restoration after Diocesan architects identified a crack in the tower walls.
Scaffolding is in place at Bigby Church and the money has been raised for the work.
“The crack has probably been there for many years but it has got wider in the past five years and we were advised that we needed to do the repairs,” said Church Warden Chris Banham.
“We have needed to raise £25,000 and that has been done, much of it through grants.”
The work is expected to take four to six weeks.
