The Chase pub in Market Rasen is still on the market after seven months.
Former managers Brian and Jane Sankey closed the venue in the spring, with the owners, Lincolnshire Co-op, now seeking a long term lease.
The 200M2 pub is been marketed by Banks, Long & Co of Lincoln, who report “a bit of interest” in the pub, with several viewings but no takers yet.
Surveyor Harriet Hatcher said the building “will probably remain as a pub” as no-one who had looked at it were considering other uses.
“It’s a lovely building with plenty of space and a big flat upstairs,” she said.
With the former Goldmine at the eastern end of Market Rasen now Grandad’s Shed, selling furniture, and the March Hare coffee bar opening soon over the road from the Chase, Harriet says the Market Rasen market is picking up, helped by a stronger wider economy.
Fellow agent James Butcher said the potential is greater as former occupiers “didn’t run it particularly well.”
For the free-of-tie public house, with accommodation and parking, the rental is “offers over £25,000 a year”, excluding VAT and business rates.
A minimum five-year term is sought and fixtures and fittings are extra.
