A new homes development in Market Rasen - where many first-time buyers have taken their first step onto the property ladder - has sold out.
Lincolnshire developer Chestnut Homes has just sold the final home at Hunters Place, a 66-home development on land off Willingham Road.
It comes as new data puts Market Rasen at the top of a national table for the country’s biggest drop in house sales.
The Halifax property sales report, based on Land Registry information, says Market Rasen has seen the biggest fall in house sales in England and Wales, with a 30 per cent decline between the first eight months of 2014 and the same period in 2015.
Despite this, Chestnut Homes managing director David Newton says this development has been a “huge success”.
He said: “We’re delighted that Hunters Place has been such a huge success.
“Now that all of the homes are sold, we look forward to putting the finishing touches to the build and completing work at the development in early 2016.”
