A co-operative of bakers, preservers and crafters have been helping put the market into Rasen for more than 30 years.

Now the Country Market is looking for more people to join them to continue this tradition.

“It is a great way to make a little something out of things you enjoy doing - whether you have a love of baking, making preserves or crafting,” said Angela Tubb, who has been part of the market for a number of years.

The market is open every Friday morning in the Salvation Army Centre from 9am to 1pm.

Members also have a stall at the monthly craft market in the centre on the first Saturday of the month, which ties in with the MR BIG market.

“We would love to hear from more people who would like to join us and keep the market well stocked,” added member Georgi Rawlins.

To sell your products at the market, you first have to become a member - which costs just five pence.

A hygiene certificate is also required, but there is plenty of help and advice on what is needed from market members.

Producers are also asked to give some time to help man the stalls at the Friday market and at other occasional markets

To find out more about the market, call in to the Salvation Army Centre on a Friday morning and speak to the market manager or any of the producers.
