MR BIG is to reveal how it spent its £200,000 Portas Funding in the next few weeks, says chair Sara Scott.
The ‘Community Interest Company’ is busily winding down after directors agreed to step aside last month, with no-one wanting to take their place.
They formally leave their posts in April and the Market Rasen Town Council, led Town Market Partnership, has already begun taking over its functions.
Ms Scott told the Rasen Mail that MR BIG will be “entirely transparent” with the accounts to be signed off by West Lindsey District Council and also vetted by central government.
“There won’t be a penny unaccounted for,” she said.
Last week, a meeting of MR BIG reported the organisation had received the ‘green light’ for the Market Rasen wi-fi system to be ‘plugged in’ this month. An agreement for three years supply of hanging baskets was also struck, which will operate as in previous years. The Virtual Town Tour will also be expanded.
