Visitors to Market Rasen’s Food Glorious Food Market on Saturday October 4 are guaranteed a tasty family day out.
In addition to Lincolnshire’s finest foodies, offering samples and special offers all around the Market Place, local high street heroes are getting involved.
Lancasters Butchers will be hosting sausage making demonstrations at 15 Queen Street shop from 9.45am to 10.30am.
Shoppers can meet father and son, Richard and Rob Lancaster, 4th and 5th generation family butchers in the high street’s longest established family business, which started in 1893. There will also be Maria from Greens of Lincolnshire, who will be cooking with Lancasters’ sausages later in the day under the auction shed.
From tomorrow, Thursday, children can pop into Market Rasen Library or Greens of Lincolnshire and pick up a ‘Design A Vegtepal’ colouring competition sheet to be used in the Al Fresco Foodie High Street trail on market day.
There’s a chance to receive a Greens hamper for the winning artist and a £40 voucher for a family meal at the Red Lion for completing the trail.
Organisers MR BIG says visitors to next Saturday’s market can expect regular award winning food producers like Red Hill Farm Foods and Jenny’s Jam, plus new traders including a gluten free baker.
