Brigg Town Business Partnership is aiming to launch its Christmas Campaign this month with an exciting programme of events and activities.
This will include workshops by Corin Birchall of Kerching Retail and culminating in a sixth Christmas Window Competition, with prizes presented by Andrew Percy MP on December 19.
Other initiatives will include the first “Brigg Christmas Posada”, borrowing the idea of commemorating Mary and Joseph’s journey to Bethlehem from Spanish and Mexican traditions .
The journey will start at the Brigg Christmas Fair on December 4 and end on Christmas Eve in St John’s Church.
Figures of Mary and Joseph will be hosted at various resting places provided by the community including its retail outlets.
The Brigg Town Business Partnership would like to give special thanks to Brown and Co for their generous sponsorship and support which is greatly appreciated.
Partnership spokesperson Jane Kitching said: “We could not put this on without the unstinting work of our enthusiastic and hardworking committee; it’s subscribing members, and the collaboration of Brigg Town Council, North Lincolnshire Council and friends including Brigg Rotary.
“The partnership is looking for more local representatives to work with the committee.”
